I want to use images in my class project or paper. Are there images out there that I'm free to use without worrying about copyright?

Google and Google Images now have available on its Advanced Search the option to limit your search by "Usage Rights". This allows you to find documents and/or images that have been labeled for re-use. Creative Commons is another such resource.
