Picking a topic can seem daunting. Know that you can always get help from a librarian, and

here are some things to consider:

  • Make sure your topic meets the assignment requirements. Contact your instructor if you are unsure.
  • Choose a topic that interests you (e.g. cars, food, environment, etc.). The process so much easier if you are at least somewhat interested in the topic. Be creative and avoid over-used and over-generalized topics
  • Choose a topic that others have written about. You will find far more resources this way.
