Where can I find images to use?

Answer

Here are a few resources to get you started. If you need more help, please reach out to the library.

Images from library databases

Catalog of Art Museum Images Online (CAMIO) from the library's database collection.

This collection includes over 90,000 art images, photographs, paintings, sculpture, architecture, prints, drawings, jewelry, costumes and textiles, with video, audio, and mixed media. All images rights-cleared for educational use.

Images from the Web

When you look for images from the Web be aware that some may be free of copyright and others are not, so be sure to read the rights restrictions for the image. Librarians can help you understand and we're happy to help!

Flickr: Creative Commons

Wikimedia Commons

A collection of freely available media items.

Google Advanced Image Search
