To access streaming video in Kanopy, you'll need to authenticate through the library as a DMACC user. Kanopy has a personal account creation option that isn't connected to your library account, and this can be confusing.
- Access Kanopy through the library website or follow the link to the film your instructor provided in Canvas.
- Click on the LOG IN TO DMACC. The LOG IN button is for a personal Kanopy account, if you choose to create one to make playlists.
- Now you'll see an option to "Access Kanopy Through Your University" and you will click on the LOG IN TO DMACC button again.
- To be authenticated, enter your DMACC network username and password. Leave off the @dmacc.edu portion of your username.
- You'll now be able to search the collection and view films.
