How do I search for full-text articles?
Answer
The library article databases include full-text articles that you can read right away and summaries (or abstracts) of articles that you can request through a service called InterLibrary Loan (ILL).
When you're looking at your results in a database, you'll most likely see results that include a PDF or HTML file of the full text of the article or you'll see a link that says "Check Other Databases."
You can click on the link to the PDF or HTML file to read the article right away.
The Check Other Databases link will search for the full text of the article in the library's other article databases.
If the library does have access in another collection, you'll see a link to the full-text that you can access in that database.
Otherwise you'll be able to request a copy of the article through a service called InterLibrary Loan.
Look for options to limit or refine your search to see only results with full text available.
