How can I hold a book for pick up?

Answer

You may place a hold an items held by the library for pick up at the campus library that is most convenient for you.

Place a hold in the catalog

  1. Search the Library Catalog. Look up items by title, author, or keyword. 
  2. Select Your Item. When you find a book, DVD, or other physical material you’d like to borrow, click on the title.Book result in library catalog with hyperlinked book title highlighted with green box.
  3. On the right-hand side of the page, click the Request Campus PickUp button.Access options boxes with Request Campus Pickup button highlighted with green box.

  4. If prompted, enter your DMACC username and password. Leave off the @dmacc.edu portion of your username.

  5. Choose Pickup Location. On the hold request form, select the campus library from the dropdown menu where you’d like to pick up your item.Submit a hold request form with choose a pickup option highlighted with green box.
  6. Submit Your Request. Your hold request will be sent to library staff.
  7. Watch for Email Notification. You’ll receive an email at your DMACC address when your item is ready for pickup.
