How do I search the library catalog?

Answer

The library catalog is the main search box on the library homepage. The single search box may be familiar to you from searching for information on the open web using a search engine like Google.

Find All is the default library catalog search. It offers quick and easy searching of the DMACC Libraries print and electronic book, media, and article collections and many of our most popular databases.

Other options to search the library catalog from the homepage allow you to narrow to specific source types: Books, Articles, and Film (Video).

To get started, you can type in a few keywords related to your topic and click the search button with the magnifying glass. On the results page you can narrow your search further.

Tip: Using the "Find All" search will locate articles, but not always the most relevant articles for your topic. The most effective way to find articles is to search within one of the library databases.
